I am Aznieda Man from Mukah. I teach Accounting and Economics. I graduated from University Malaysia of Sarawak with a degree in Bachelor of Economics (Hons) majoring in International Economics. My interests are travelling, playing volleyball and netball. I love how these games are similar to how life works as in life we set goals and achieve them. I believe we should all take pride in our work, but stay humble and kind.
I am Grace Lau from Sibu, Sarawak. I teach Mathematics and Additional Mathematics for Secondary. I completed a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Apart from teaching, I like travelling and jogging.

I am a Siburian through and through. I graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a Computer Science degree in 2001. After that, I worked as an IT professional with both international and local conglomerates for over 15 years. To be a part of an International teaching team is intriguing and, I believe, with the experience I have that I can offer a different learning dimension to the students. There are many things I enjoy doing as pastimes. In terms of sports, I love playing badminton and when I am indoors, I enjoy playing board games with my children.
My name is Adam Bittner and I am Canadian-Polish from Vancouver, British Columbia. I graduated from the University of British Columbia in Cultural Anthropology, specialising in Native North American cultures. For many years, I lived and worked among Native North Americans. I am also a qualified social service worker. I started teaching Canadian Studies at the International Language School in Vancouver.
After working there for a while, I decided to improve my qualifications and completed a Master of Education degree in TESOL at the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Throughout my professional career I lived and worked in many different countries, including Canada, South Korea, Poland, Scotland, Kuwait, Oman and Malaysia, teaching the whole spectrum of students form a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. My last job was that of a Teacher Mentor and Teacher Trainer in Selangor in West Malaysia. My hobbies are travelling and photography, listening to music as well as drawing in my spare time.
Hello, I am May Rabin from Cape Town, South Africa. My BA degree, majoring in English Language and Literature was completed at the University of Cape Town. I subsequently obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Cape Town Business School.
After working in business for a few years, I decided to follow my first love, teaching; I taught Business Studies and English for a few years in South Africa and then in Kuwait. I then enrolled for and eventually obtained my Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Sunderland in the UK. I spent five years spent in Oman before coming to Malaysia where I worked as a Teacher Trainer/ Mentor on a project of the Malaysian government to improve English Teaching in schools. This was a really rewarding and interesting position but it eventually ended, as projects do.
I was happy to have the opportunity to come to Sibu, to Woodlands International School, when the project ended. I hope to use my skills and experience to be an advantage to the students of Woodlands.
I am Dr. Wong Hee; I was born in Sibu. In 1991, I furthered my studies in Taiwan. In 1996, I graduated from the Department of Chinese at Changhua National University of Education. In 2001, I obtained a Master of Chinese literature from University Malaya. In 2008, I obtained a Doctorate of Philosophy (Chinese Studies）from the National University of Singapore.
After graduation, I worked as a Chinese teacher in a secondary school. I have taught Chinese literature, Malaysian Chinese Literature and other courses at the Chinese Studies Department of the Chinese Language Institute. I have also been engaged in administrative work for almost 8 years.
Reading is my favourite hobby, I like to find wisdom in the stories. I also like to walk and at the weekend I go for a jog in the morning. Through exercise, I gain more and more health benefits.
I am Karlenn Panaguiton from the Phillipines. I am a graduate in BS Tourism, with a second degree in Professional Education from the the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. My post graduate degree is a Bachelor of Laws. Recently, I have completed an online course, Diploma in Language and Literacy in Education (DLLE).
Before the end of this year, I expect to take a qualifying exam for a Master of Arts in Language and Literacy in Education (MLLE). I currently work as an ESL teacher for secondary students at Woodlands International School. Before that I taught for three years as a classroom teacher at primary level.
In the Philippines, I used to teach social science related subjects for secondary students, such as Economics and History. My daily routine centres around family, studies, and work. Aside from reading, I love travelling and dancing.
I am Ms Wong Tien Tien, who was born in Sibu and graduated from the school of Education of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). I became a teacher at the private secondary school I had attended before. I received my Master of Linguistics in Chinese Language from Tianjin University in China in 2012. I am now into my fourth year of teaching in Woodlands International School. I like table tennis and travelling.
I am Evlyn Entusan and I teach Malay Language for secondary. I was born and raised in Sibu. I am now into my fourth year of teaching at Woodlands International School. I completed my Masters of Malay Studies at the University of Malaya in 2012. My interests outside school include travelling, reading books, and spending time with my family.
I am Lau Siik Jing. I am the Physical Education teacher at the Secondary Department. I graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Hons) degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Since then, I have been working as a personal trainer in Kuching and later teaching Physical Education in a Chinese Independent School in Miri. My interests include playing sports, traveling and spending time with my family.
I am Loh Giuk Lan from Sibu, Sarawak. I graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University with a degree of Bachelor of Art in Education and I obtained my Master's Degree in Education from the University of Selangor (UNISEL). I continued my studies in 2012 and earned an Advanced Diploma in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy from the Satir Institute of the Pacific, Canada. I have been teaching Chinese language for the past thirty years. I have also been a guidance counsellor and head of the counselling department over the course of nineteen years. In 2008, I published a counselling book, entitled “Love, We should Let them Know."
During my free time, I love to listen to music. I find that music fills my life with vitality and joy, and it can help me to have inner peace of mind.
I am Louis Ling and I teach Science and Biology for Secondary. I was born and raised in Sibu. I completed my Degree in Biotechnology at University Putra Malaysia and my Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the Open University Malaysia. I am now into my fourth year of teaching at Woodlands International School. My interests include travelling and reading.
My name is Ting Ngiik Hee and I go by my nickname, Nikki. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii in 2007. Since then, I have been teaching English in both local institutions in Sibu and at the Lodge Group of Schools. Teaching at a private school has been challenging but fulfilling as it provided me with the opportunity to use modern and interactive approaches.
Having been able to further my studies in the US allowed me to enjoy learning even more due to diversity in teaching styles, allowing students to develop their talents and to unleash their potential. An international school establishing itself in Sibu is definitely thrilling. Therefore, I look forward to contributing to the positive change and in performing my very best to help with the school’s growth and expansion.

Hello, I am Jennifer Ho Thien Ling. I received my Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics, in 1999 and later I got my Master of Science from University Putra Malaysia in 2002.
I joined Woodlands International School in 2015. I soon realised that this school is very different from other schools which l had taught at before. There is full commitment to a multi-racial, multi-national as well as multi-cultural teaching staff working with a high standard of professionalism to nurture students to achieve both a global outlook and academic excellence; I previously taught Mathematics and Additional Mathematics in three government schools. I have been Head of Mathematics, a Senior Assistant as well as the Master Teacher for Additional Mathematics in my former schools.
I am very interested in photography and have participated in quite a number of photographic competitions and I enjoy reading and travelling around the world.
I am Jimmy Yek and I teach Art and Design for Secondary. I was born and raised in Sibu. I completed my degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. I am now in my second year of teaching at Woodlands International School. I have a great passion for art, dance, movies and music.
Hi, I am Tipah Lihong, originally from Sibu. I graduated from UNIMAS and completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Aquatic Resource Science and Management. I was a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award during the 21st UNIMAS Convocation Ceremony in 2017. During my studies, I received a scholarship from Sarawak Energy Berhad and my final year project was included in the SEB’s research grant.
My project, which I entitled Fish Composition, Diet and Water Quality at Base Flow Stretch of Murum River, Below Murum Dam, Belaga, Sarawak, focuses on the fish identification and composition, water quality, and nutrient analysis. I did my internship training at Tioman Island, with the Juara Turtle Project. This mainly involves an awareness and conservation program. My daily routine was the management of volunteers from various countries as well as swimming assessments.
Apart from that, I am an athletic person and I am very active in kayak competition. I was one of the top 10 finalists in 50km around the Labuan Island in Labuan International Sea Challenge. I am a fanatic of water sports such as skin diving, and a certified diver under National Association of Underwater Instructors. I am also a passionate traveller.
I believe that the world is like a book, and those who do not travel read only one page. And from where I stand, I am convinced that a little bit of kindness is needed to make someone’s day better. My way of life is do it better, make it better, and improve it even if it isn't broken, because if we don't, we can't compete with those who do.
